Early morning data from the Austin-Travis County Traffic Report indicates a traffic hazard on the North SH 130 Northbound Frontage Road. Debris was reported near the intersection of Citizen Way and the SH 130 service road. While crews have been working to clear the area, drivers utilizing the SH 130 corridor should remain alert and exercise caution when approaching the service road transitions to avoid unexpected lane obstructions.

I-35 Capital Express Project Impacts

The I-35 Capital Express project remains the primary source of ongoing congestion in the central corridor. Construction activity is currently heavy near the University of Texas campus and the downtown district. Commuters are reminded that nightly closures of the northbound lower deck between 12th and 32nd Streets are part of the current work phase. Additionally, southbound drivers should expect alternating lane closures on both the upper and lower decks between Airport Boulevard and MLK Boulevard during the late evening and early morning hours.
