Austin Police Identify 23-Year-Old Killed in Valentine’s Day I-35 Frontage Road Collision With Truck
Crash reported before dawn on South I-35 service road
Austin police have identified the woman who died in a Valentine’s Day traffic collision on the southbound frontage road of Interstate 35 in South Austin. The fatal crash occurred on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at about 4:18 a.m. in the 13200 block of S. IH-35 SVRD SB.
The woman killed was Xochitl Garcia Ramos, a 23-year-old Hispanic woman born May 13, 2003. Police stated she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators described the incident as a collision between a motor vehicle and a commercial motor vehicle. Police said the driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene, was not impaired, and is cooperating with the investigation.
