Search underway after man last seen in South Austin

Austin police are asking for the public’s help in locating an 82-year-old man reported missing in South Austin. The missing person has been identified as Ramon Gonzalez Almager.

Police said Gonzalez Almager was last seen on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at about 6:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Radam Lane. Investigators described him as a Hispanic man who is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.

Health concerns elevate urgency, police say

Detectives said they are concerned for Gonzalez Almager’s immediate welfare because of health conditions. Police said he walks with a limp, uses a cane, and is a Spanish speaker.

When last seen, he was wearing a brown jacket, a red shirt, and blue jeans, police said.

Police are asking anyone who believes they see Gonzalez Almager to call 9-1-1.
