Austin police ask for public’s help identifying two suspects in South Austin clinic car theft

Vehicle stolen from employee parking area near Ben White Boulevard, police say
Austin police are asking the public to help identify two people suspected of stealing a vehicle from a South Austin medical clinic earlier this month.
The incident is listed under case number 26-0181127. Police said the theft occurred on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at about 6:54 p.m. at the Encompass Health Clinic at 330 W. Ben White Blvd. (service road, westbound). A public information release about the case was issued on January 29, 2026.
What investigators say happened
Police said officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle and later determined the theft began in the clinic’s employee parking area. Investigators said a male suspect was seen checking door handles before taking a vehicle. Police said a second suspect was involved in the theft.
Authorities have not publicly released the make, model, or license plate of the stolen vehicle, and no injuries were reported in the information made public. Police have also not announced whether the vehicle has been recovered or whether the suspects have been linked to other thefts.
