Amplify Austin Day returns March 4–5 with 24-hour fundraising push for more than 700 nonprofits

A 24-hour giving window begins the evening of March 4

Amplify Austin Day, Central Texas’ annual online giving campaign, is scheduled to run for 24 hours from 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026. The event is organized by I Live Here I Give Here and uses the AmplifyATX.org platform to process donations and help residents find nonprofits by cause area and location.

The campaign is designed to support nonprofits serving a seven-county Central Texas region. Organizers say more than 700 participating organizations are expected to be featured on the platform during this year’s drive.

How early giving, prizes, and matching dollars work

Early giving for the 2026 campaign opened on January 28, 2026, allowing donations ahead of the 24-hour window. Early gifts count toward campaign totals and certain early-giving incentives, while time-based prizes are tied to the primary giving window.

Amplify Austin Day also includes sponsor-funded matching dollars and prizes intended to increase the impact of donations and encourage broad participation. A separate community incentive pool, known as the Amplify Fund, has been used for matching and prizes in prior years and continues to be positioned as a key mechanism for distributing additional dollars to participating nonprofits.

  • Main giving window: 6 p.m. March 4 to 6 p.m. March 5, 2026 (Central Time)

  • Early giving: opened January 28, 2026

  • Donations are routed through AmplifyATX.org for eligibility for platform incentives and prizes

Scale of the event and recent performance

Amplify Austin Day launched in 2013 and has grown into a large regional fundraising event. Organizers report that, cumulatively since 2013, the campaign has raised $122.4 million for local nonprofits. They also report that Amplify Austin Day 2025 raised $9.7 million for 755 participating Central Texas nonprofits.

Across the region, the campaign has become a single, time-bound giving period in which donors can compare organizations, donate to multiple causes in one session, and help nonprofits compete for incentive dollars.

What nonprofits and donors should expect during the campaign

For nonprofits, the model emphasizes a short, high-visibility fundraising sprint supported by coordinated communications, peer-to-peer fundraising, and prize structures tied to participation and donor counts. For donors, the platform is structured to make it possible to search for organizations, donate, and, in many cases, set up recurring gifts beyond the giving day itself.

Several local organizations have published their own Amplify Austin Day participation plans, including in-person or community kickoff activities timed to the March 4 start. Those events vary by organization and are separate from the platform’s central fundraising window.
